How do I get an account?
Join the Discord, then register on this site with your account name and password. Once an admin approves it, you log in with them. Details.
Are account names case-sensitive?
No. Names are unique ignoring capitals, and you can log in with any capitals. Your password is case-sensitive.
I forgot my password.
Ask in #help on the Discord. An admin resets it, and the next password you log in with becomes your new one.
Do my characters survive updates?
Yes. They live in the server database, which is backed up every day. A new player build never touches them.
The game download won't start or is stuck.
Turn on Cloudflare WARP (free) and press Retry in the launcher: the download carries on where it stopped. Step by step: Game download help.
How do I update?
Open the Sol RO3 Launcher: it updates itself and the game before you play. Server updates need nothing from you.
Should I use Auto Mode?
Whenever you like, but playing yourself pays more. Kills made with Auto Mode off give 25% more EXP and have a 25% chance to drop their loot twice, and a party of three or more players earns 25% more EXP. Auto Mode gets 2 hours of battle time a day (unused time banks up to 3 days); from Base 50 it uses that time, while hands-on hunting keeps the full Bonus Time rate at every level.
Can I buy Crystals?
No. Nothing on Sol RO3 is sold. Crystals come from pass challenges and MVP fights: see Crystals and shops.
What do supporters get?
Supporter Tokens, earned alongside Crystals, which buy the Supporter cosmetics: most of the Fashion tab's premium mounts, outfits, headwear and backwear, and a character effect. No stats, no power, no items.
What does /pass do?
It lists today's three challenges and your progress. /pass week lists the weekly ones.
I found a bug.
Check the pinned Known issues post in #bug-reports first. If it isn't there, make a new post: what happened, where, and a screenshot or clip. Please don't exploit it in the meantime.
Who are the AI players?
Characters run by the server to keep the world lively while the community is small. They hunt, chat and can join your party. Invite one close to your level; in your party they leave the last hit to you.
The text looks broken on Linux (Wine or Proton).
On integrated graphics, Wine reports an Intel GPU and the game draws its fonts wrong. A fix from mazrine: put DXVK's x64/d3d11.dll and x64/dxgi.dll next to ro3.exe, and add a dxvk.conf there with dxgi.customVendorId = 10de, dxgi.customDeviceId = 2188 and dxgi.customDeviceDesc = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650". Then start through the launcher as usual.
Is this official?
No. Sol RO3 is a non-commercial fan server built on the open-source RO3Emu project, with no link to Gravity.
